Golden Age Cabinetmaking and Restoration provides high quality refinishing and restoration for antiques and heirloom furniture. We also make all sorts of custom furniture on commission. We reproduce from period pieces up through to modern styles. We will work with designer and directly with clients. Additionally, custom built-ins, cabinets, paneling and trim can be provided. Our handmade furniture and custom cabinetry allows the details to be finer, the style more graceful and the finished piece more graceful than mass produced work. History
Born and raised in Wayne on the Main Line, I graduated from Penn State University in 1980 with a Bachelor’s in Education. I began a teaching career in Industrial Arts Education at Unionville-Chaddsford School District. In 1986 I graduated with a Master’s in Industrial Arts Education. My teaching career lasted 20 years during which I also worked part-time in local antique restoration shops. During this time I began accepting commissions for restorations and new furniture. In 2000 I started running Golden Age Cabinetmaking and Restoration full-time. Over the years I acquired a passion for fine furniture whether antique or newly made. This passion has shown through in the pieces I have restored and made.
